Dear Senior Parents,

This is an exciting year for your student and you! The high school senior year is always packed with wonderful experiences and memories that will last a lifetime. We are contacting you with important dates for this year to give you plenty of notice to mark your calendars, so there will be no “surprises” close to any event’s date. In addition, all dates will be published on the NSA website.

• Ring Dance will be held Saturday, December 6th from 7:00 p.m.-10:30 p.m. This annual tradition is a ceremony in which the seniors present the juniors their class rings. It is held in our cafetorium and has now become a dinner / dance. Students will be given invitations in November with RSVP cards highlighting this year’s chosen theme. Dress is semi-formal.
• Senior Day will be held Friday, May 22nd at 8:30 a.m. This special day has been noted as one of NSA’s favorite days. Girls should wear appropriate white dresses and sandals / dress shoes. NO FLIP FLOPS. Guys should wear long dress pants, dress shirt, coat, tie, socks and dark dress shoes.
  This year we are happy to announce that SAGE Dining Service will cater the reception, which follows the Senior Day ceremony. No longer will parents be asked to provide the refreshments because it is your special day as well as your child’s.
  However in the past, our senior parents who love to work with flowers have always provided Senior Day decorations. This entails arranging flowers to embellish the arch where the seniors are announced, a flower arrangement in front of the podium, an arrangement for the reception table and/or simply supplying flowers from your garden. All flower arranging will be done on Thursday, May 21st in the morning hours. If you are interested in volunteering, please contact Mrs. Kim Mason at 539-8789 ext. 3332.
  A class picture will be taken by Life touch following the ceremony. Order forms will be sent home Monday, May 18th and can be returned to your senior’s adviser during that week.
• The Junior/Senior Prom will be held the evening of May 22nd at 8:00 p.m. The location will be announced at a later date.

• Annual Senior Slide Show (presented by the Office of Development and Marketing) will be held Friday, June 5th at 8:30 a.m. in the cafetorium.
  Graduation practice follows.

• Baccalaureate will be held Friday, June 5th at 7:00 p.m. in the cafetorium. Seniors are asked to wear their caps and gowns. Girls should wear appropriate dresses no longer than their robes, dress shoes, no necklaces and only wear small earrings. Guys should wear dress pants, dress shoes, socks, shirt and tie.
  Attendance is required.

• Graduation will be held Saturday, June 6th at 9:00 a.m. on the lawn in front of the Upper School. Dress will be the same as Baccalaureate for seniors. A reception will be held for graduates and their families following graduation.
  Attendance is required.

Other information:

• The Jostens Representative will be back on campus on Thursday, October 2nd to answer questions and pick up any Senior Class orders from 12:30- 1:00 p.m. in the Upper School Front Lobby. Friday, November 7th is the final day to place orders. (This order is for graduation announcements, thank-you notes, etc.)
  Mrs. Becky Johnson in the Upper School front office will help with any questions.
