3: REHEARSAL PLAN FOR SPRING TRIMESTER ‘09

STAGES OF REHEARSAL & OBJECTIVES:
- Begin – the student will sight read through the entire piece gaining a basic familiarity with the form and content
- Continue – the student will strive for accuracy of notes, rhythm, dynamics, phrasing, diction and expression
- Finish & Review – the student will listen in rehearsal for blend and balance within the ensemble and adjust accordingly, for expression and master memorization
- Details – the student will rehearse with accompaniment
- Details with special needs – the student will rehearse with any added instrumentation, choreography and staging
