NSA Student Athlete Signs with Marshall

Suffolk, VA December 10, 2008- Nansemond-Suffolk Academy’s Head of the Upper School, Mrs. Brenda Kincaid, announced yesterday that student athlete, Isaac Ballou has signed a letter of intent to play baseball during the 2009-2010 season at Marshall University in Huntington, West Virginia.

In addition to being an Honor student, Ballou is a three-sport athlete and has played on the Varsity level for baseball, basketball and football since his freshman year at NSA. His many accomplishments have included being selected to the TCIS (Tidewater Conference of Independent Schools) All-Conference Team and All-State Honors Team for both Basketball and Baseball each year since 2006. Additionally, Ballou was named as an Under Armour Pre-Season All American and ranked in the Top 10 in the Class of 2009 Outfielders for his recent baseball season. He was also invited to participate in the USA’s Baseball Tournament of the Stars.

Ballou, along with family and friends, was joined by his NSA coaches, faculty and administration for a special signing ceremony held on Tuesday at NSA.
